
With proper understanding rooted in principles, you can throw an attacker without ever touching him. In fact, you can defeat him before he ever even moves, or even thinks about moving! It's true! That is good Jiu Jitsu. It is the same in life and its adversities. But I have to tell you, sometimes I have an incredibly difficult time with this. When I succeed it is because I am focusing, either subliminally or consciously, on principles. At that point it becomes incredibly easy.
