I have looked into the eyes of God. I don’t mean this in a metaphorical sense; I mean it literally.

I often hesitate to share such things, because of predictablel reactions… subtle or overt skepticism is the most typical. But I am getting to the point where I don’t care about people’s reactions. Why? Because I know if I don’t take a stand (along with others) and speak out, in spite of the reaction, that there may be others who suffer as a result.

I know what I have seen and experienced, and if you are skeptical that’s understandable. But, if I continue to keep it to my self, and others do as well, then…

Do you want to know the effect such skepticism has? High risk.

Listen, there’s this very big problem that we are acting like we don’t have: Our skepticism and cynicism makes the one’s who have had the experiences or who live in the experience tend to clam up. That is very, very foolish and potentially catastrophic. It’s like being trapped in a coal mine, and ignoring the light and shouts of your rescuers. That would be a life-threatening position to take, since they know the way out. Don't get me wrong - I'm not claiming that I am the guide who knows the way out. But I (usually) have the common sense to know the direction of the way out when someone is waving a light in my direction.

If we want to truly have the deeper experiences, truly learn the way to get from here to there, then we have to improve our discernment skills.

Deeper truth is self evident. It resonates at the core of your being. Learning to listen to and tune into that resonance is the key to developing advanced discernment.

What's more important?

    So true!

well, someone's gotta ask . . . what did you see when you looked into the eyes of God?

It is tough not to be skeptical when something is beyond one's current comprehension. The experience really is the key, but so is recognizing the experience for what it is. I grew up along a creek and saw lots of high flows over the years. But it wasn't until I was in school and learned about the underlying processes of hydrology and hydraulics that I really understood and appreciated what I had seen. Similarly, since I started reading psychology I have been better able to understand my past actions. And, when people have been open not only about experiences that have happened to them but also how they were affected mentally, physically, emotionally, I have started to see things that have happened to me in a new light. I don't know if any of this applies to what you are trying to get across-a lot of it is beyond my comprehension-but I thought I would mention it. For now I'll stick to the old philosopher's creed that the first step to enlightenment is to admit one's own ignorance.

Thanks, Greta. Neal, I posted a reply.

Ethan, I definitely relate to what you are saying. I find that the more I open up and share my own past actions, experiences, mistakes and improvements, the more my world improves, the more life around me improves.

“Because I know if I don’t take a stand and speak out, in spite of the reaction, the people I care about don’t stand a chance.”

The most fundamental principle is: "Everything is always in Divine Order." My ignorance, my experience, my awakening included.

No one is ever 'left behind'. In 'time' everyone will awaken and re-member... there was never a separation at all- only the illusion of separation. How can we do this Mark, how can we separate ourselves from Spirit? Separate yourself and then let me know how it feels.

The most important thing we can do to help others awaken is to awaken to the truth of this reality ourselves and then live our life...without attachment to the outcome.

In the end (which is the beginning) I AM. We are that too!

Nothing we do matters; everything we do matters. Do nothing, do everything. In the end it is never between you and another person anyway- what you do unto the least, you do unto yourself and I AM.

Didn't want it to sound like I was disagreeing with you Mark- I do agree with your point- my point is... sometimes the only thing one can do is live by example, knowing all is in order.

I've found in my own experience that most people prefer ignorance over enlightenment. I too have peered into the face of God and it was an experience that set me apart from my peers and even loved ones because of the skepticism, the cynicism you spoke of. It became very difficult for me to carry on with the mundane routines of everyday life knowing just how small and meaningless it all was. So much of what we value and hold in such great importance is entirely worthless in those eyes, those magnificent terrible eyes! You have reminded me of the responsibilities his attention had thrust upon me. God found me when I didn't want to be found, he guided though I refused his directions and still he waited for me to come to terms with it on my own time. I suppose in time others will come around as I did in their own time as I did but I fear it may be too late. Your words have reminded me that I have no choice any longer to ignore what was requested of me, my duty to my creator, my duty to my fellow beings on this earth. Soon all the things that have no value will be wiped from this world and it is my responsibilty to inform any who'll listen that there is nothing to fear, he will show you the path if you let him, he will speak to you, you only have to be silly and humble enough to listen. No need for embarassment we all are as children in his eyes.

Thank You Mark I had already been aware of my purpose I suppose I geuss I just needed a little encouragement
